In April, 2011 Skanska USA Building selected Kimmins Contracting Corp. to perform the selective demolition work at USF’s Sundome Arena and Convocation Center.  Our scope of work included everything from selective interior demolition work to picking large precast concrete seating sections from the upper level with a 240 ton crane.

The heaviest aspect of our work includes the removal of the entire bottom section of the upper precast concrete seating ring as well as the removal of a large amount of the concrete bowl structure on the concourse level.  This work will make way for an entirely new concrete seating bowl and will create room for a true walk-around concourse level.

It is projects like this that allow Kimmins to prove that we can handle even the toughest of demolition projects safely and professionally.
