YESTERDAY, TODAY, & TOMORROWKimmins Contracting Corp has a long and distinguished history in the contracting industry that began in 1923 in Western New York. William Kimmins founded the company with the spirit of family infused into every aspect of the operation that initially performed specialty contracting services on projects throughout the county. Mr. Kimmins believed that every person, regardless of their position, is an integral and valued part of the team. He understood that what makes a company great are its people. Over the next 50 years Kimmins built their solid reputation on two key points, provide quality service and make safety the number one priority. By steadfastly upholding these principles the company quickly grew to become a forerunner in the industry for both customer and employees. In 1973, the Williams group and Kimmins joined forces and expanded the company’s services to include demolition contracting to both industrial and commercial clients. By the early 1980’s Kimmins scope of work had grown extensively and the company moved its headquarters’ to Tampa, Florida were it remains today. Recognizing a niche industry within our community in Tampa Bay, Kimmins expanded once again in 1991 forming an Earthwork and Mine Service Group providing earth moving equipment and services to the phosphate industry in the state of Florida. In 2002 we opened our stone and aggregate crushing and recycling operation, a concern specializing in the processing and selling of new and recycled construction materials throughout the state. Today, Kimmins Contracting Corp has the privilege of looking back over 80 years and recognizing that we have made a substantial contribution both locally and nationally to specialty contracting and demolition industries. We look forward to new and challenging projects and opportunities that await our creative teams in the 21st century. |
