The 2008 Kimmins 5th Annual Charity Golf ClassicBenefiting Camp HopetakeSaturday, October 04, 20088:00 a.m. ShotgunAll proceeds to benefit:Camp HopetakeTampa Fire Fighters Local 754 in conjunction with Tampa General Hospital’s Burn Unit is in the 17th year of sponsoring, organizing and hosting a camp for children who have been seriously burned. They work as staff members and financially support the camp known as Camp Hopetake. For many seriously burned children, coping with the social and emotional scars associated with their injuries can be overwhelming. The camp provides a safe and supportive environment for these kids to share their feelings and interact with one another in a non-threatening atmosphere. Camp Hopetake is free of charge to all attendees. It is staffed completely with volunteers, including full medical supervision by Tampa Fire-Rescue paramedics and nurses from the burn unit at Tampa General Hospital. Please join with these remarkable care-givers in giving these kids a memorable experience. Directions to Cypress Creek Golf Club Cypress Creek is located between Tampa and Bradenton off I-75 exit 240 (Sun City Center Exit). Turn east off ramp to first light. Turn left one mile to the Cypress Creek entrance on the right. This 18 hole championship golf course meanders through 640 acres of wetlands. Most of the scenic landscape has been left as natural as possible to promote wildlife preservation. The surroundings offer a mingling of fauna, flora, birds and wildlife that guests will encounter while visiting. Sponsorship Information
