The History Channel’s “Only In America” with Larry the Cable Guy teams up with Kimmins Contracting Corp and John Zemina in Tampa, Florida for an afternoon of demolition to make way for a new Youth Center for the First Baptist Church of College Hill. The 3rd and final phase of this project involves installing approximately 11,000 liner feet of 24” ADPE water main pipe as part of a full plant upgrade at Mosiac.

Working for Mosaic, the project was set to begin in May, 2011 and is expected to be completed in 6 months from the date of start. The site is located in Riverview, FL.

The scope of the project includes slip lining the existing 66” LCP pipe with 63” HDPE pipe and coating (sub work) existing effluent conduits.  The work is split into two phases and each must be completed within a two week period to minimize disruption to plant.  Sheeting and shoring was utilized to protect workers and safeguard existing utilities including a 96” influent pipe.  Work also includes the installation of several smaller new or temporary plant piping including Thickening Tank Overflow, Air Cooling Water Discharge, Scum. . .

Our scope of work on the Sun Dome renovation project includes everything from selective interior demolition work to picking large precast concrete seating sections from the upper level with a 240 ton crane. The lower level of the arena will be completely gutted and reconfigured and all seats and bleachers will be removed from inside the arena.
